Songs We Love: Promised Land Sound, ‘She Takes Me There’
Palace Opening 2015
Last Monday in May
A good friend of ours, Bob Regan, is a songwriter who works with veterans to write songs that help them deal with the trauma of war. This song is about Memorial Day and was written by vets from Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan. They are going to perform it this weekend on the National Mall. It is a country song so a little flagwavy but sweet nonetheless. Wish we could be there with you all. Thinking about so many of us who served.

Grandpa Doble’s Sermon about the Oxford Group (Fixed)
A sermon Grandpa Doble gave at the Old Ship Church about the Oxford Group. (Mid 1930s) I think it is a wonderful window of insight into our grandfather. — Andrea
